Synopsis

AUTEURISM PART 1 Tired of what he perceives to be inadequate media coverage, the Joker sets out to make an autobiographical movie, with golden age filmmaker and comic Buddy Kantor starring as him. Kantor, a washed-up alcoholic who suffers from constant hallucinations and delusions of grandeur, is at first reluctant to participate, but quickly loses himself in the role when the Joker begins to feed his ego.  Despite his enthusiasm, Kantor insists that he cannot work properly when the Joker's henchmen are so incompetent at playing Batman - the film's all-important costar. The Joker accedes this point, and sets out to solve it the only way he knows - by staging a bank robbery so his film can have footage of the real Batman.
